London CI Flash Mobs

Our interest with this project is to explore past what are considered "socially acceptable" ways of moving in public spaces as well as inspiring some questing around the touch taboo by bringing in contact improvisation.

These events are not intended as performances.

Our goal is not to prove how comfortable with movement and contact we are, or to show off the more entertaining aspects of contact improvisation, thereby widening the gap between participants and public.

Rather we are all acting as both improvisers and observers, interacting subtly with the public, with the intention of blurring the line between who is a participant and who is a bystander.

If this kind of research interests and inspires you we would love for you to join us, no experience necessary.
